Hi guys! I'm Peter, russian kitesurfer, engineer and just good man, lost in asia, Vietnam:-) Sorry, my english is not perfect, but I'm learning.. I finished my kitesurf business after road accident and now do some service and motorcycle customizing for foreigners in vietnam. The goal is to open car garage, step by step, but it is in future. Now I have possibility to make first wholesale project, to renew a design for expensive scooter, to help one big shop sale it faster. Designer of my team is already working on it, but he never printed before on a car vinyl wrap. Can you advice the way of printing? We'll use chrome and white colour on it at the first time, like on…

I do not wrap vinyl, I am only a tinter, but I was looking at purchasing a new truck and using it as a billboard somewhat.. It's an F150 but has the 3 pc rear window with the slider, I was curious if that can be wrapped and if the black moldings will be covered or you have to cut around them? Thanks I appreciate it!

I have a friend whose son has an older truck with the hood in pretty bad shape paint wise. He asked me to wrap it in carbon fiber. I have only used 1080 and I like it but I was looking for a cheaper way out on this one because he doesn't have much to spend and it is not going on a nice car really. Anyone recommend a cheaper good looking brand. I looked at Metro 4d hd line and it looks pretty good. Also, on a hood with paint peeling, how bad will the vinyl look? Never tried it this way before. thanks

Programmer interested in making line boards for Mobile devices.

Greetings PDR professionals, enthusiasts, etc... I am a programmer looking to see if there is any interest from a PDR professionals perspective in an application that will turn your mobile device into a line board. I figured this could lighten your load in regards to carrying a large line board, and a mobile device (i.e., iPad). These devices should have proficient lighting for whatever job you need to perform. Here are some of the ideas I have, assuming this is a good idea. Create several line boards with varying widths of lines. You will be in control of how thick or thin you want each line(s). I can also create a fog board as an option. varying levels of brightness…

Hi All, Thought we would show this one that we recently finished. The Avery Bright Blue Metallic is a great colour, really pops in the sun and almost glows in the dark. Topped off with Avery Metallic Black two tone and the Avery Silver Metallic as a pin stripe.

So I just bought a truck to be my demo vehicle and advertising piece. I'm planning on wrapping it in matte black and have a quick question. The truck came with hand painted pinstripes and they have been on there 10+ years. I've tried the "oven off" method and the stripes are still there. My question is if I can't get them off can I just lay the vinyl over the stripes or will they just be to noticeable? Here are some pics:

Took a couple days in a slow work week to tackle this project. 2014 Polaris RMK 800. The day I saw the chrome challenger , I knew exactly what I wanted to use this film on. I'm really pleased with the outcome so far, and the response to it has been outstanding.

Howdy. Firstly would like to say sorry for the big paragraph. My enter key wont work on the site. Tried for the first time some 1080 carbon. Man I had a hard time and the picture shows. This happened to me twice. Firstly, I tried this on my own. Secondly, It was pretty cold in the workshop (I just bought some radiant heaters to set up). My biggest problem was as soon as the vinyl touched the paint it really stuck to it. I had to put in a fair amount of force to lift it and so it ripped. The bonnet was cold. Could this be the problem with it sticking so quickly or is that just the characteristics of the 1080 series?Any advice would be great for this newby.

Started as a matte black job, then a satin black, but ended up deciding on matte white. Actually covered the hood, grill and windshield surround with gloss black to cover the metallic black paint. So it looks like I left the hood but everything is actually wrapped. Hey guys, just getting into vinyl. I've wrapped a few little things on a few cars, and today I was practicing on a spoiler. The garage bay was taken so I was working outside (about 40 degrees out today). My mactac and my felt edge hard card seemed to be almost scratching the tint. Everywhere I went with the squeegee you could see lines. I'm using Avery supreme wrapping film, matte black. I've used this same roll of vinyl on other things with the same squeegees with no problems, think it's temp related? And I can't tell if it's in the adhesive or on the surface, will it go away? Thanks!

Zebra Striped Jeep Wrangler

Hi. First time pooster but been reading this forum for quite a while, love it here. I mainly tint cars but recently ive been doing some wrapping on Jeep Wranglers for a dealership. Now they have a costumer who wants his entire car striped like a zebra, crazy huh? Here is what he wants it to look like : Have anyone ever done anything like this before? i mean just puting the stripes on is easy, but to get the pattern to look good is another thing. Some input on how you would do it would really help. I use Bekarts plotter with computercut for cutting vinyls and windowfilm. Cheers guys Robin

Hi everyone, Im getting into vinyl wrapping, I own a 07 silver chevy tahoe and I'd like to read and see suggestions: A) matt white & carbon fiber B) matt orange & matt black C) other? I just got a set of 20" polished wheels along chrome door handles (factory ones not covers), so what other colors choice should I go with? I like Cadillac's white pearl color and it really goes well with chrome accents. Now, what type of vinyl brand should i go with? 3M, Avery or other? Thanks ya'll.

Lets talk Climate Control.
by Guest fone phreak- 2 replies

Like the topic says, what are the guys doing in the hotter climates like South Florida, Texas, AZ? Do you guys have climate controlled shops or do you bring in spot cooling devices like port-a-cools? I did an install for someone in his shop that had ZERO climate control... not fun! besides my core temperature skyrocketing the vinyl felt like taffy. The control tac feature of the film was virtually non existant. would love to hear some feedback from members here.
