A used car dealer out this way, who most locals know sucks, has a 5 star rating, i couldn't figure it out, every person i know who went there has a horror story. Turns out the car dealer has a contest for 5 star reviews, you leave a 5 star review you could win $50, winners drawn monthly. Seemed pretty shady to me.

New Teflon cutting strip. Clean channel with brake parts cleaner prior to laying strip in. Make sure strip is level (some you buy or have get high spots from sitting). Warm, not hot with a heat gun and run finger covered with paper towel all the way to the en will let you know it is secured. I change strips once every two years. Don’t pounce thru the strip or have high spots and you are golden. Most people make the mistake of polling the old one off and laying the new one. The old one leaves adhesive in the channel and causes high spots. Like leaving glue on a window and tinting it.

oklahoma is not real strict when it comes to dark tinted windows.  but some cops will use it as probable cause to initiate a traffic stop.  i call it fishing because they use tint as a excuse with hopes of finding something bigger.  when customers inquire about window tint, i ask if they want dark or legal.  if they chose dark, i explain legalities and inform them that some cops in this state can stop you for it.  if customers reply they dont care and want dark tint, thats what i give them because if i dont tint it, the next shop down the road will.

They wax the living crap out of new cars to hide all the imperfections.

I use 3M Adhesive remover to strip it before i apply any film to any car. (have to becareful using it on repainted cars.) All edges get Adhesive Remover on it be it painted or not. It guarantees it will grab. Most repainted panels i see, are ALWAYS missing clearcoat on the inside. (this is from high end body shops who paint Lambo's / Ferrari's / Porsche's).

My Slip solution is usually 2 good sized drop of J&J Baby Shampoo.
My Tack is 4 caps of 99% with 800ml water.

    I only use filtered water.

Tint or not, if you’re a meth head, you will get caught sooner or later, and deserve it when it happens. Those are the ones driving around at 3 am anyway and the police know it

How so? Every PPF installer I have ever known will use a hypodermic needle to pull out a small air pocket if needed myself included. I have never once seen an issue.

3/4 in. Bead is the key (only after material is dry) or anchoring system needs to be used if you can’t run a nice bead

Bulldozer will get that. As far as the doors, I spray a fair amount of slip, lay my film on the glass, push with my hands a bit (3/4 way to the top) and it separates the glass from the molding and slides right down.

I will be there on the 3rd with my partner and our wives. Zulifaqur Zabro, we are going to spend 3 weeks and lay 11,000 sq ft of Huper. Will definitely contact you. Enjoy. Been there twice and an Awsome place. I love the rich kid police cars....where else are there Lambo’s where you get a speeding ticket, and the cop says you’re too slow. Love it.
Awsome you got beyond the space for pace. Sooner or later we will all roll on.
    cheers

Stainless will prolly cause you a headache. If you are doing mobile, corrugated plastic is the way to go. It is disposable. You can cut on it quite a bit befor you toss it and use another.
If you are just using it to lay your pattern on, it will last forever. There is no weight to it, and is easily cut to the size you need

yea as long as you have good shop lighting

you can use white printer paper as well but i like the garbage bag because you can stretch it out so you can see the whole bottom edge, and you can move it around behind lights and tight panels. just make sure it is below black edge, which should be pretty punctuated, or you will cut it short.

I usually stuff garbage bag down there before i lay film on, just to make sure everything is good with it and it is below edge.

I can't really see out of my right eye so i go to extra lengths to protect the good one, these safety glasses are bifocal but clear for regular vision and 2.0 magnification in the bifocal part (for up close). Just FYI in case you have a need, these also come in a shaded sun glass version (like in my profile pic). The large part of the glass has no magnification, just the small bifocal part magnifies, they have magnification 1x thru 3x. These are good that i don't have to have my glasses on a string.

Sorry fellow installers, a waiver whether signed or not, does not exempt you from the liability.
fact( one of my dogs bit a man) he walked 300 feet to my property from his to give my dog some scraps (neighbor, I live in the country), my German Shepard (Sassy) was a service dog for eight years, she was 14 at the time, he bent down, like an idiot in her face and she frog-bit him. There was a suit and I paid half to avoid litigation. Court said beware of dog sign means nothing... reason being, blind, non English and stupid don’t apply. So all I can say, is the waiver, signed or not for illegal window tint, means nothing. My wife is a lawyer and gets on me all the time for installing illegal film. So glad we left New York

Charge for material and time. Same with film. Because someone has a Mercedes as apposed to an Honda Accord, do you charge more for the Mercedes? Actually not a hard vehicle, just time consuming. You want a hard one, m6 with spoiler and ground effects
