   I am trying to make some stickers for a friend, the image he sent me was in a .ai format. Initially it had a gradient in the text, so I made it all black, but now when I go to cut in Flexisign, there is a line through the text that had the gradient. I tried a few things, but I just can't lose it. I know I am doing something wrong, any suggestions?

   I am tryin to decide on which software to use between tint tek and film vinyl designs.I have used cc with my old boss but now i am on my on for 2 yrs now and just bought a graphtec fc5100 42'' plotter.i will mostly useing it for automotive tint and making small decals for windows on cars.let me hear yalls input.oh yea i use global qdp if thats makes a differance

   I am thinking of getting a plotter. Been in the game for 16 years, time to get with the times. Talked to different salesman about it and they priced me 40". My thinking is I can do the back by hand and use the 24" plotter for the doors. The price difference between the two was around 2k. I can do alot of bg's for that kind of money. I can't see me doing any vinyl, just tint. Anyone have any opinions on that?

   How often do your change you blade? I have had my plotter now for about 9 months and it seems like after about three months I am have to replace my blade to get it to cut smoothly again.I am using a 45 degree blade.

    I'm a one man shop that does mostly dealer work. My problem is, and a good problem to have, is the seven dealerships that I do work for started an advantage program that includes window tint, so now my work load has increased tremendously. I would just like to ask your opinion on how much a computer cut system would benefit me. Right now I am hand cutting 4-5 cars a day. Your opinion and which type of system would be greatly appreciated.

    Because of bronze factory glass, I installed all the graphics on the outside and then coated them with graffiti film! Here are the pics of 1 of 9 stores i'm doing for Ay Jalisco mexican restaurant chain! I used 16 different films for this install! Because they will be opening at the beginning of March, i worked at the shop all day tinting cars and went up after work and worked on this for 3 or 4 hours a day for a week to complete this! That way i didn't miss any cars. Hope you like it! There were 11 total windows and this is the other side of the entrance!

    Hey everyone! Greetings from Ottawa,Canada. Your friendly neighbour to the North! I am looking for a plotter setup! I need a 40+, must be able to cut tint, PPF, vinyl. I do alot of Car wraps and am looking to get into the tinting as well (Ive done it many times before, but mostly for friends) I want to start offering it at my shop. Anyone know where I can get a good plotter, some blades ect. Would like to buy in Canada, (13% tax at the border KILLS) Budget is around $1700. Anyone ideas!?

    Hey, I just did some shopping around for printing my wrap stuff. I found a local company that is doing it for $4.50sq/ft. That seems bit too much for me. They are using 3M vinyl and 3M laminate, with ink their cost is no more them $2sq/ft... Any suggestion where i can get a better deal. I would have all the art work designed and sized.     For those of you who do sign work.... do you charge for artwork development or refinement? Lately I find myself putting in a couple of hours on some customers artwork, you know those 'could you create' or 'could you just change that', they start out fairly simple but then end up being altered a dozen times over before the customer is happy. I have never charged a fee to date and I doubt that I will for the things that take me a couple of minutes, but as much as I enjoy the creative side of this I am beginning to think that I have been short changing myself....     I've been pretty slow these past couple weeks with christmas right around the corner and nobody wanting to come off of their wallet to get some tint done. So I've been bored out of my mind sitting at my shop with nothing really to do. I don't have a plotter so I was thinking of fooling around with some hand cut tint art.     The new blades I bought were slightly longer than my previous ones. My old blade use to cut ok at 130g pressure, but with the new blade it just destroys the vinyl. And if i set the new blade to 120g of pressure its not enough to make a clean cut, i then have to spend hours on weeding. I have set my software to match what it says to do in the manual http://www.premiersign.co.uk/winpcsign/dxf...ter05Manual.pdf. And I have changed the knife offset from values 12 to 100. But there is no difference in the cut. Can someone help me out please. BTW my plotter is a RedSail 1360c and I use WinPCSign Letter 2005

    Were doing a job for Bullets tattoo a local shop here in MD....couldn't find a vector image of a 50 cal round, so we made one haha. Were doing the install tomorrow afternoon, RN07 bullets with a 5% backing should be pretty cool. He wants some lettering on his doors too, told him we could trade labor on that one!
