hey, I am looking to buy my first few rolls of tint. I was thinking of just starting off with a 35% and a 20% roll. Maybe 36" X100' or something like that. What do you guys recomend. Also. I was just wondering how I go about buying it? Do I need to set up an account or should I just call them? Do you get a discounted price if you have a tax ID number? I new to this so im not really sure where to start...thanks in advance Nick

HELP in Disassembly of 91 Accord Front Seat
by Guest sickhonda- 2 replies
- 2.7k views
Hello everyone!!!! I'm new here and in need of assistance. I'm in the process of replacing my seat cover on my car (91 Accord SE.) Anyone familiar with this car would ask...why, since SE model come with OEM leather seats? Yes, but my car was jacked recently and recovered missing the interior. Some might ask why bother? I always took pride in keeping this car in show room condition since I'm the original owner. 90,000 original miles and everything still original, in other words...it's my baby. The engine remained untouched and body still in great shape (except for few scratches received from the impound) :inot . I intend to rebuild this to its former glory. I need help in …

Another WTF are they thinking thread!!! 1 2
by Guest Key West- 14 replies
- 1.1k views
I lost 3 customers in the past couple of days. They seemed to think that since I work from home, I'd slash my prices to dirt cheap!! I tried to explain the concept of being able to spend more time on thier car, so my price was quite reasonable since I no longer had to turn out 4 or more cars per day just to pay overhead, thus giving them a higher quality install. They couldn't get it. I also bid a couple of commercial jobs recently. They just couldn't get past the (minimal) reduction of customer visibility into the store. The answer? They now have BLINDS!!! Another guy, (a friend who owns a furniture store with a BUTTload of glass front) was complaining about losing aro…

white frost 1 2 3
by Guest expertint- 27 replies
- 1.6k views
This has happened twice to me lately.Contractor wants white frost, not opaque ,to hide a buildout next to the windows. If its a wall that blocks all the light then you can't see the studs etc.But if it's a freezer that's stainless steel and right next to the window you can sort of see it.Now we have to layer it with something, but what?? They like the light but don't want opaque.Should we put another layer on all the windows.I don't think it will pass with just doing two of the eight windows, as the two will look different. So we have frost..nrmps2 ..what shall we add? Heat is not an issue and didn't notice if its tempered. Thanks

New T*Mobile Bldg & 3m Crystal 1 2
by Guest Key West- 14 replies
- 1.3k views
We just wrapped up about 800 s/f of 3m crystal vinyl. ( What a pain!! Crap tears if ya look at it wrong!!) But the Bldg is beautiful. Its a new Call Ctr/Training Facility. What a work environment! Complete with a videogame/ TV breakroom! And a full gym, TMobile sure does treat the employees well Half of the job was centering 4' material on 8' glass, the other half was full glass coverage. Looked good, but I'll bet there is alot of replacement coming down the road!!

Still new to the Tinting game but getting better and quicker with every job. Got a tip a couple of months ago re brand of glue we can use on Dot Matrix. Some probably already know but PRITTSICK works a treat It is water based like the glues used in the US . I have used it on several cars with great results. Just have to make sure you dont squeegee all glue out I use blue card with lint free cloth. Used it first on my BMW 318 Salloon in July 2005, dots still stuck down a treat to this day. Hope this one helps !! DAZZA

I'm posting this becuz I thing it will help out some of the newbies on here take one pieces of scotch tape ..roll one end over on to itself (sticky side to sticky side)..then take another and do the same. now..make a "T" out of the two pieces(applying the two sticky sides together..like so now..with your film applied to your peeler...lift the top edge corner of your film up and dry the back side of the film...and the peeler area ..and apply the "T" to the back of your film.(sticky side to the film).I should look like this now do the same along the top...like this if you are doing a door window as shown then...after all the "T"s are on there...take one more piec…

good window tint 1 2
by Guest keitkeit- 11 replies
- 2.4k views
Hey I usually use the autozone window tint to do my vehicles. Well I just got a new truck and I want to tint them. But, the last vehicle I had a let a company do it and the tint looked a lot better. The color was much better. Not a blue tint like the autozone tint has always had. I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could order some really good tint online to do my truck. The one the company used had a very slight brownish tint to it. It looked really good.

While you guys are freezing your arses off, we are enjoying wonderful beaches. I'm on hols in a place called Tathra.....most unbelievable beach you'll ever find and blistering hot with not acloud anywhere. Beers definately on the go on the sand. I'm going to try and set the scene for you so I can encourage some of you tinters to visit us. This bay is crescent shaped and swings around like a huge banana for 2 miles with a white sandy beach at least 150M wide all the way. The hinterland runs right around the bay with very scenic cliffs offering superb views out to America and you can see the curvature of the earth. Great fishing....flathead, snapper, whiting, Mako a…

Another tint bubble question
by Guest kponenation- 4 replies
- 1.1k views
I got my windows tinted (endurance film) at Ziebart in Indianapolis, IN more than a week ago. And this morning I noticed the bubbles formed on the back window. They weren't there yesterday. I don't know why the bubbles formed one week after it was tint. Is this normal? Is it possible that using defroster may have done this? I thought using defroster helps it dry. I can hardly find any bubbles on front and rear side windows but why on the back window? It is very annoying and especially at night it's very hard to see the back. Any solutions for this?

Bunch o' ramblin/questions
by Guest pastfast125- 6 replies

OK. I have been thinking about this for some time and need some fabricating guru's opinions. How do you guys fabricate you fiber glass peices? I was thinking about making a fiberglass box se up to house some speakers and an amp, and maybe even some custom door panel peices. For the speaker boxes, I was thinking about making the main box out of some type of wood, the covering it with great stuff foam, then shaping to what I want, then covering it in fiberglass...What do you think of that? Just give me some info on how to fabricate custom peices like a custom dash or anything. Thanks.

This happened Wednesday 40 miles southeast of Sonora, California. A huge, bright object was hovering in the sky, so this guy starts taping it, a few seconds later it explodes. To me, it looks like some kind of Tesla aircraft that had a catastrophic failure. Video - http://www.zippyvideos.com/196567964330525...jan18_ja_short/

Did the hood, fenders and mirrors on a 2005 Sedona Van, and 2003 Altima, and he's bringing me back a 2004 Tundra for the Deluxe kit with all the grille and bumpers. I must say, this is a lot of work, I'm all pooped, but I must say, I'm pretty proud of myself for having very little training (watching a video). So, any tips for making things go faster?
