I did one today..really nice car door panel are a little different this year...you cant pop the tops off and take out the seals.. take the panel off -pop off the front corner piece -10mm bolt behind the door handle...the cover is kinda a pain to get off .. so be carefull -pop off cover behind handle where you use to close the door...2 10mm bolts there also -and the panels do not slide up like before ..they went back to the door pops on this year the windows seen to be a little smaller this year also..20 in. may make it...the window still comes out of the back seal..like the previous year...so they are still a pain to get the right gap on them so when you roll the …

Colorado door windows
by Guest clear image- 7 replies
If you tuck the film below the door felt on a Colorado you have to tuck it about an inch below or more. There is a secondary felt strip below the visible door felt molding inside the door. If you tuck the film below that gasket the film tends to finger up. To eliminate that problem, before you cut you film, roll the glass down. Take an extended olfa blade and just cut that inner felt gasket all the way off. Then install. Cake after that.

Well, with the help that you guys have given me I decided to put that to work. I found a way to use a 4x8 aluminum table. I was able to stand it upright on one set of the legs(it's real light). Now I have a transfer table!!!! 2nd, I bought a new sprayer from Llumar. I can't remember the model but it was one of the $13 ones. I also bought another squeegee. Can't have enough of those right?? The windows on this car were pretty easy to work with. They are kinda small on the sides. The back glass was a little hard for me but was able to 1 piece it. I had a few fingers wanting to pop up. For the life of me I could not get it to dry. I think that's mostly because…

Has anyone experienced shrinking the new rear window in one piece? Did it with Llumar atr 15. What a pain. Much like shrinking a new bug in one piece. With over 27,000 installs, this as well as the old Cutlass 4 door almost beat my butt.

did a 81 vette today and don't think I'll want to do this car again for quite a while. it came out perfect but my back and neck hurt from laying on my back installing the film. I had to have one of my guys heat the glass while I was inside because the corners where the big bend is kept popping loose. had minor contamination in a few spots around the edge but for a 25 year old car it was a great job, next time I'll charge more though

I had a new one today. The '06 Chevy Impala SS. It was a big pain in the arse! It has the fine matrix like the Malibus did. The 3 fixed headrests make you climb in the deep, fuzzy back deck It has rubber/silicone gaskets that placed way inside of the edge. I can see me pulling panels, and gaskets on the next one. Price 'em at about $900, and you should be O.K. Anyone got some tricks on this one? Mods, Please move this to makes and models in a little bit. Z Z

I know these old POS's with the roll up back glass, have done many. but for some reason, this one isn't working. it will not roll up once I get the gate open. I trip the switch and it won't go up. is there something new to the last years they made these? cause I've never had any problems before.

Removing the rear panels and deck wasn't too bad but the bottom part of this back window does not want to lay down because of the way it curves . Anyone have any tips on doing this back window so I won't have so much issues the next time? This is the actual car I just finished.
