not high enough. just started getting samples and stuff from the film manufacturers from sema. noticed today that LLumars price on their ATR CH was only $19 more than sun-gards "comparable" film in a 40" roll. not sure how the marketing guys in LLumar feel, but when one of my competitors starts getting close to me in price, I jack em up, ALOT. maybe it's time LLumar's prices took a much needed rise. any excuse for my competition to switch to another film, AND for me to raise my prices is a good excuse in my book. let the mayhem begin!

Good auto tinting in New England?
by Guest Hailey- 3 replies
Hi, I'm new here, and I would like some information on tinting in my area. I am just about to buy a black 2002 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi, and I want to tint the windows immediately after I get it. I live in New Hampshire and I would like to know where I should go to get it done. I know if you go to the wrong place you can run the risk of a bad tint job, so I want to be really careful. I am willing to travel quite a ways (as far as eastern New York, southern Connecticut, etc). I'd like to do 35% all around. And in case you were wondering, I know tinting all around is !llegal in NH, but you can do it legally with a medical waiver which I will soon have. Thanks in advance!

Crazy use for tint tubes
by Guest zolar- 8 replies
- 4.3k views
For the massive stereo system we are putting in (from previous posts), I am installing cabin pressure relief, to keep from blowing out the accordion seals or glass. 2 actuator driven 3" valves on 2 tint tubes dump pressure under the truck. They have switches to open the valves independently, and lights to indicate the valve's position. I will effectively be like cracking the windows. I have never heard of it being done before. I thought I would show it here first. Crazy Stuff Z

ok, this guy calls me the other day "I had an appointment with --- to get my windows re-tinted, cut my finger and couldn't make the appointment, and now they can't get me in, can you get me in today?" now at the time, 3 o clock, I had to do a caprice wagon and an old busted ass lebaron convertible. so I told him no, he had a '95 tahoe. about a half hour later he called back...."I was told the tint on the back of my truck is factory and that it can't be removed, is that true?? " now I figure why the hell is he wasting my time, and I tell him"I don't know until I see it, it is possible though." so he asks for directions. about a half hour after that is when the fun begi…

I went to see them together last night. Awesome performance. Johnny looked good but they had to carry him on and off the stage (in the dark) to a chair. He played great. I got some pics. The lights were interferring with my camera but a couple turned out good. you shoulda seen all the old people at that concert!

Remember just starting out for Trim Line, a auto trim company, in a narrow garage. The pull down rope for the garage door had a long hoop in it. Backing out of the bay the hoop caught the passenger door side mirror and ripped it right off a 78 Trans Am. Not a happy camper.

Tint on the outside 1 2

I get started on this 98 monte carlo rolling down windows and chammying and I see tint on the window in little strips & pieces, after investigating and scraping off the outside windows next to the edges and this film is tucked in so the olfa is used I really think some cheap guy had tint on the outside of this car. there is no way to scrape tint off from the inside and have it land on the outside all up and down the edges, I bet someone just needed tint for a little while maybe this was a leased or rented vehicle, I remember when my wife had to rent a vehicle for a week I was going to put the tint on the outside and then just ripp it off before it went back, anyone ev…

I'm putting this here after reading a horror story on someone having to replace a vinyl top for a customer due to a heatgun mishap. This is for the newbie ..or the seasoned pro: I'm not a fan of doing tint when it comes to vinyl tops..but when I do,the first thing I do is get out 3 " wide masking tape and go all along the perimeter of the back glass with the width of the tape covering the first 3 " of vinyl surrounding the back glass(only takes 1 minute) When heating the back window, ..if your gun is in one area a little too long..it will start to darken the tape BEFORE it will burn or discolor the expensive vinyl..in otherwords..as soon as you see the tape start to t…

New mdog's soap method Spray !!! 1 2 3 4
by Guest zolar- 31 replies
- 4.4k views
mdog's soap method has been a killer trick for most of us....Thanks M-Dog I like the plexus spray for speed, but it could cause adhesive issues. So It hit me, like a 2 ton heavy thing open up 2 sprayers, and slice up a bar of Ivory into each one add about 44oz of water to one, about 32 oz of alchol to the other, and let soak alchohol diddn't do so well ....but the water the next day shake, shake....instant mdog's soap method spray concentrate spray a mist (preferably on a dry, hot back glass), Lock it down, and start humpin with plexus @ $7.50 a can Giant size dog juice is less than 1/10th the cost So....all we need is a name any Ideas Z
