2006 Foose Mustang

Just did this Mustang yesterday. A heads up, it has a third brake light mounted to the glass. It is held on by double side tape. I just removed it, cleaned the residue off and retaped it. Told the cust. to come back in a couple of days to put the light back on. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/151/420175374_8257441f12.jpg Charge more for it!

What in the hell were they thinking when they made the back glass?! Good God....anway I saw a thread on this already but no real advise or tips on it. I will remove the pneumatic arms and cut the holes after laying the film, but what about that lovely wiper motor? Does it need to be removed, or is there enough room to tuck and still get a in there to squeegee it down? And I didn't get a long look and it was from a decent distance, but where the defroster lines start, was it just me or are they out from the edge of the glass about 6 inches or so, if so is the connector tab right in the middle or is it at the top (I'm assuming in the middle, why would I get any breaks …

2000 Crown Vic Cop Car

hehe, so, here is my ride: 2000 Crown Vic Police Interceptor. Classic Black/White paintjob(and Im not changing it). I don't have a ton of cash to throw at it right now, but I want to get some tint on the windows. Here in Nevada, the law for it is 35% on the front side windows, No tint on the windshield, and no limit on the rear windows. Don't need it super dark, just dark enough to where people can't really make out any faces from the side/back. I still need to be able to have good visibility out the back and sides, since I do a bit of driving at night. Is 50% good for that, or can I go a little darker? I think I'll be getting one of these when I get plates, just to P…

Recently had a ford five hundred come back that I did about 8 months ago. Apparently the seal on the driver side window scratched the tint. Not just one scratch, numerous scratches going vertical. I checked all the other windows & not a single scratch! I told him I would get back with him on the matter. Then I recall a month earlier we had a phone call from a guy said another local shop tinted his new ford five hundred that he had just picked up from the dealership and within one week every single roll down window was scratched and the shop told him to take the vehicle to the dealer its something with the seals . Well the guy had finally gotten back to us a week or …

Here is a little tech article on a mustang forum about the tint getting scratched. they give a contact number to ford so mustang owners can complain to them and mabey ford will realize their design is flawed. also there are instructions on how to take the door panel off and put felt on if you guys need info on how to do it. http://www.mustangforums.com/m_1592410/tm.htm

somebody mentiones this before, but the weather stripping somes out like a bug, I was shocked thursday how much easier tauruses are now why somebody didnt play this up before is beyond me, but it makes it one helluva lot easier, cleanest taurus windows I have ever done. take the plastic surround off the windows first they come off easy, then pull the weather stripping off, that simple.

'00 and up Tauras/Sable wagon
by Guest MidcoastMW- 5 replies

Is it just me, or is that bubble back glass on the wagons a PITA!!??? I've done it twice, one peice...but I always get a lil crease (about a lil 1"spot) right at the top left where that stoopid latch is. Obviosly you cant shrink that area with it there so the best I thought of without removing the glass was to shrink the rest, then pull the film down the 1/4-1/2" to accomodate and then shrink. No matter what, I get the damn crease!!!! Anyone else find this glass a pain? or am I just a dumb nooB??
