Just figured I'd throw this out there for anyone who may need to fold the mirror's in on these trucks. They have an option for power folding/extending/retracting mirrors. Incase you need to fold them in to get through the garage doors. Happy Tinting!

Today for the first time I tinted a rear glass of a convertible top 96 mustang. it was a f'ing nightmare. Every other window came out excellent except the back glass. I screwed up three times before i gave up and I didn't even wanna charge money for it. Now its not like it was completely garbage, it came out good EXCEPT the only thing that looks horrible is I couldn't get a perfect cut along the edges so there was some light gap lil bit and there. It's not like a regular back window where I can hide the film behind dot matrix line. I felt bad for giving up on it and I know I need a tons more practice. But I am just wondering are these window suppose to be easy? …

Ive done 3 Ford taurus' and all three are the worst tint jobs I've ever done. The last one I did a week I got a complaint on, so I went there yesterday and it was basically a bunch of contamination from the felt and creases on the rear rollups. I went ahead and redid the rears, but this time i removed the panels, but i didn't make much of a difference. I hear you can pull the felt seals around the window, but they looked like a beotch to get back in. I'm never doing this car again, It just not meant to be tinted, the rear rollups don't even go down all the way, so you can tape the felt. Plus, I hear you can only remove the felt on 2000-2003 models, so i don't see the…

Hey guys I got a few questions. Lets see if you guys can answer them. 1. I live in missouri, would you guys happen to know the tinting laws off hand? Or where could I look these up... 2. I would like to limo tint the read window, rear sides, and rear roll ups, then I would like to tint the front roll ups and front window according to missouri state law.. How hard do you guys think this will be? 3. What type of tint should I buy? Will the good stuff at autozone work for me, or should I order it somewhere off the internet??? 4. Do I want to apply this tint to the out side of all my windows or to the inside??? If it is on the out side will it get scrached? 5. Anything e…

I know there can't be to many of these running around anymore, but I had to do the front door on an explorer this morning. You guessed it Factory rear was solar bronze. I endedup putting Suntek Infiniti 35% on the 2 front's. From the outside it was the closest match I have ever seen. To the inside out the rear was way more bronze, but the outside apperience was almost dead on. I didn't have the cam with me to snap pic's, but if you guys run into one of these the Suntek Infiniti film matches great.

Its almost 100% Flat. 1/4 Windows are easy also, lots of room. The doors are super easy also, the seals are not tight so tucking was made easy . Only issue i had was squeegee the back glass, If you have long arm's you will be okay, because its kinda right in the back.

Did a couple Fiesta's at the Ford dealer. They were 4 drs. The rollups are super easy, as is the very small triangle shaped rear quarters. The b/g isn't all that big, but it's a pretty heavy shrink. Wild colors too, one a crazy green, the other dam near fuschia colored!

Not as easy to slide the film in the sides on the doors. Caught me of gaurd, I over cut the film alot on the last body style. They have a really tight rubber on the sides, by the by.

good evening tint guru's . I am a new tinter recently certified by 3m and have about 8 months under my belt. I am a former race car mechanic and custom bike builder so i have a pretty good knowledge of cars and figured i would round it off with a new career twist, tinting windows and installing invisible bras. That being said i have an appointment to tint a new mustang, and understand i need to install the felt to avoid the hideous scratches fords are infamous for in the doors. I have never done this nor was i shown how in training. I would appreciate any and all input on where to purchase the correct materials and possibly a video tutorial if at all possible . Thanks so …

Just a rant about the so called competition. Guy comes in with an old Mondeo Hatch, "can you tint the back section ?" Yes. "Are you sure, have you seen the back window" he says, I have and again the answer is yes, you dont seem to believe me. It turns out he took it to two other so called window tint firms, who he named, one supposedly had 4 goes at it, could not do it and then phoned him to tell him its not possible. The other said the only way to do it was, and I quote "these can only be done in 3 sections, nobody is able to do these in 1 piece" These are the same 4rseholes who advertise "Professional Window Tinting, any car £100" Uncle Bob

Had a friends dad call me today to R&R an 07 Mustang and I am trying to figure out if I even want to take it on. How is the BG install on this one? Do the doors need to have felt added? And if so, can someone kind of give me a step by step on this as I have never seen felt added to any vehicle, so I am curious where and how exactly you guys are doing this since I see it talked about a lot. Also, where is a good place to get the appropriate felt from? Thanks for the help!

I just wanted to mention that I cut double patterns for the fronts and the passenger was short by an 1/8 of an inch. Also, the matrix for the rear glass was really tight, especially on the sides, only about 2 mm of room. I had to tape the felt and put a 8" strip on the small hump that is on the door panel by the mirror. This kept that area from getting contaminated. Someone on here mentioned that the ranger was a for sure panle puller. I don't know if im missing something, but every ranger ive done, tucks as easy as they come.

I flew through the rest of the windows as they were cake. But this back window is driving my nuts Ive tried it 3 times so far every time I keep creasing it. I'm using the mdog soap method to shrink it. I tried a middle horizontal anchor twice and then the third time I moved the anchor closer to the top which worked great from shrinking the top and all the way till about 8 inches of the bottom then it seemed like there was still to much film and it would still crease. Im using a hard card and a heatgun. If anyone has any tips or techniques I would GREATLY appreciate it! Sorry for the newb post but I don't have alot of experience yet.

help with ford focus 1 2
by Guest pame- 10 replies

Hello, I'm sorry to ask this on this forum but I have no idea what to do. I had my ford focus 2003 windos tinted and when I left with my car the radio did not work, I could turn it on but it was going scanning permanentely without stoping at any station, and I couldn't even turn it off, I had to turn off the engine. Somebody told me it was because of the tinting and to wait a few days, but it has been 3 days and my radio is still not working. What should I do? Should I hate the tint from the windows? Thank you
