A police officer pulled a guy over for speeding. Officer: May I see your drivers license? Driver: I dont have one. I had it suspended when I got my 5th DUI. Officer: May I see the owners card for this vehicle? Driver: Its not my car. I stole it. Officer: The car is stolen? Driver: Thats right. But come to think of it, I think I saw the owners card in the glove box when I was putting my gun in there. Officer: Theres a gun in the glove box? Driver: Yes sir. Thats where I put it after I shot and killed the woman who owns this car and stuffed her in the trunk. Officer: Theres a BODY in the TRUNK??? Driver: Yes, sir. Hearing this, the officer immediately …

To all shop owners out there....I was wondering how long did you all work in the industry---either for yourself, someone else, dealer work....etc..etc.----until you all decided to venture out on your own??? I have done mostly mobile accounts for the past 3 years part time only and will be opening my tint shop within 2 monts and would like to know if I actually make a sound decision or should I cancel the contract??? I consider myself to be very good at what I do, but I know being a shop owner is a very difficult task. So, all comments opinions are very welcome.

I argued with this one chica..... she said as long as you can read a drivers liscence through the film it was legal and that I didnt know what I was talking about. (she was talkin about squiting through 5 or 15 for the fronts of course) I sent her packing. what other good ones have you heard?

Save money on paper towel 1 2

Don't know how many of you guys use paper towel when fitting film, but I use scrim,(Irish linen) for drying and wiping down, I have been using it for 6 years and it works fine, for the chaps over the pond (USA) ask your window cleaner where he gets his huck towel,Blue cloth they use in hopitals, I use to spend a lot of money on paper towel when working in the UK, but with scrim you wash and go . they work better when they have been used a few times, pretty lint free I tell you,, and you can mop up loads of water on the flour at the end on the job. But bank officers decide that this money are FALSE :inot :inot (I also don't know who is working in this banks). And guy was arrested. Police think that this FALSE money was made in UK or NIGERIA or IRAQ :inot I have some questions: Did anybody hear about it - in our newpapers was written that it was happened in US. and How can be FALSE money which WAS NEVER MADE? (Or I don't know aout this $1,000,000 banknotes??)

Hi all. First time posting on this site. I'm considering starting my freelance tinting business and was wondering what tint manufacturers all you professionals would recommend? I heard from a couple tinters in my area that SolarGard and Madico are pretty good brands. What do you guys think? Any good sites you can point me to for purchasing these films?

Hi There Guys, can anyone confirm whether it is legal to tint passenger and driver windows in the UK using Limo tint, I have been informed that this can not be done any more as the vehicle will fail a MOT, but I believe there are grades that are acceptable can anyone confirm what these are and what will pass a MOT before I get in a bit of a mess.

1. You must make polls which give you choices that are relative to the question being asked. 2. You must give more than ONE choice or it ceases to exist as a poll . 3 . Kindly don't overuse the "poll" feature or people wil get tired of voting everytime they see a pol and it will use it's usefulness when really important. 4. use the archives(search) feature to see if a similar poll has already been done . This poll is just an example only and not meant to discourage participation on the forum

Hi dudes, Just letting you know about my progress with dodgy tint and I need your advice again. Visited tinter guy, he said that most my complains are bulls..t, except front window with 2-3 mm gap. Result: he agreed to refund, change the rubber for ?s and he wants to remove tint, rather retint. Now I?m waiting him to get rubber from Mazda dealer and in meantime visited another two local tinters and they both agreed with most complains and that work has to be redone. I?ve got one concern - the back window. Is it going to be tooo messy to remove tint from the back window? If it is, I?d rather leave it and let him to remove only doors, because I don?t want water, chem…

Got a call from an old friend of mine that heard I was tinting windows out of my garage now. She was asking me how to tint her car. She tells me she's been working on her brand new 2005 GTO read window for about 5 hours and cant get the bubbles out. I asked her to decribe them to me and she was talkign about fingers. I personally hadn't experienced fingers on a side window yet but maybe I just havent had any side windows that curved enough to produce them. I explained to her how to get rid of them and told her that I could take care of her job when she decides she's had enough. She's persistant on keeping it cheap so I asked her where she got her tint. She told me …

windshield strips
by Guest clear image- 1 reply
If you do a lot of windshield strips for certain cars, cut your pattern on one and save the liner from the pattern. Then with left over film cores cut about 10 inches long , screw a film core end holder to it. You can then put the assembly on a shelf with the film core facing up while the end cap acts as a base to hold it. Write on the core in indelible pen the "car make". Insert the patterend liner sheet for future use. Place your film on a cutting surface, sliding door glass etc., and lay the liner sheet over as a templet. Cut and your ready. If you make a good templet initially, it speeds up each install. No need to clean outside of windshield since it's been cut on a…

You might remember back in April, I posted a few photos of a cat that would eat anything that resembled a ribbon including film? Well the owner had me back to complete the rest of the job because the film worked so well. During the morning I was offered the traditional coffee which I was really hanging out for and it was great. But here's the kicker.......the lady of the house kept the water tap running all the time in the sink. What for? This really had me puzzled and I couldn't understand why she would want to waste so much water? Well did I find out.....the cat makes a point of taking a drink all the time out of the tap and the bench top is his home. (photo en…

ok, I know this has probably been asked 100 times so heres 101. I tinted a 2002 mustang and the tint would not lay down on the matrix AT ALL. I have yet to find the "blue elmers school glue" anywhere in my area. I've been to Meijers, K-Mart, CVS, Wallgreens, Walmart, and Joan Fabrics. No one has it, I'm gonna have to look for it online somewhere. But anyways...... I ended up cutting the tint right on the first defroster line so I could apply vinyl. I have ordered a few roll sof the Oracal 651 series. My cutomer/friend is throwing around the idea of going with red vinyl on the outside to match the color of his mustang. 1.) My first question is.... I'm assuming I…

Hey guys, whats up? Im not having any luck finding someone local to teach me to tint, or to sell me any rolls of tint. Every shop I go to tells me that Tinting is no good, and why do I want to tint, and that they wish they did somthing else. How do you guys feel about tinting? are they just trying to not have any comp? No matter what the say I still will learn to tint. I want to have a shop, make the big bucks. Why do tinters work for shops, instead of having their own shop? :inot

So, my shop is looking to get into remote starters, but we do not know which brand would be the best to go with; nor do we have the know-how on installing them (... atless not yet). Basically, I figured I'd test it out on my car first and see how it goes. I got a Cadillac Deville '99 and we wondering if anyone could supply me with dirctions or links to hepl to install the device. Also, if ya could give me ya'll opinions on which is the best brand. Lastly, is the device able to link itself into my gas door popper and trunk? Any advise would be great! Thanks, Chase

Such thing as 40% tint 1 2
by Guest 99Eclipse- 11 replies
- 2.1k views
Hi all- Well about a 1/2 hour ago I just got pulled over by the state trooper. A nicer one at least. I have 35% all the way around. The law is at least 50% on the sides. Yeah I thought I would chance it. Well my car is too flashy and that didn't help. The tint on my car actually registered 33%. Is there such thing as 40 or 45% tint? I think if it would have been at least 40% on the 2 side windows he would have had no problem with it. Please let me know of any sources if there are any. Thanks much.
